Cultures and Genetic Vendors:
Below I will provide a List/links of the various Breeders/Genetic Collectors and Vendors I respect and recommend.
(I have no affiliations with any of these; just want to provide guidance based upon mine and others experiences.)
*First, know what you are looking for!
Are you comfortable or looking for lab work and to save pristine genetics?
Search for MYA/ Agar Culture! These come on a petri dish with a nutrient media used to grow out the mycelium for further expansions and work.
Want to just inoculate some bags and keep it simples/fast?
Search for Liquid Culture or “Isolated Syringe”! These are isolated singular cultures of mycelium suspended in liuqid brother ready to easily spread and coat your grain bag/ all in one bag to beging myceliating! Warning: These can contain invisible or hard to see contaminants.
Looking to hunt for something unique or maybe this is only option?
Search for Spore Prints, Spore Swabs or Spore syringes or “MSS”. These are used in place of proven individual cultyres; but contamination rates are often wayyyy higher depending upon sources. I like to use spores in the Lab Setting with Agar work. I use sterile tools to scrape/ collect spores and spread them onto agar dishes to start a pheno-hunt right off the first grow. I do this often with cultures I want to get started/established in my environments better, or when Im looking for something slightly different/unique! Though some cultivars are only offered in Spore options, it is what it is.
Think about your goals, then look for Agar/Petri Cultures often on MYA (the media/nutrients), or maybe a liquid culture/ isolated syringe, or Spores in either print, syringe, or swab! Some are only available one way or the other depending upon where you look and for what.

MOTHER NATURE!!!!!!!!! (GO OUTSIDE AND FIND SOME) - Seriously though; the fruits you can find in your area or similar climates will excel in your grow environments. If you look around you can truly find almost any mushroom you’d like in due time! Then clone it, or run/save spores! Free, plus you get to preserve some cool unique Wild Genetics!
