“TF05” is a Terrestrial Fungi creation off a Tropical Asian species; This mushroom does great in the heat! It really wants to antler and thats about it! Not one for conks but very phototropic so you can create bonsai art with this species. By changing the directions and the angles of the light you can manipulate how this species grows and where it grows.
This culture is fun to fruit and produces beautiful long, reaching antlers with the colorful finish. Also producing dense and fast colonizing mycelium this species is being watched in the biomaterials space for good reason!
Cultivation Overview
G. multipileum grows on sterilized, supplemented hardwood blocks. It colonizes aggressively and produces dense mycelial material throughout the substrate. Fruiting to antler form is the dominant expression of this culture — it antlers readily on well-colonized blocks. Like other Ganoderma species it is slow compared to Pleurotus or Hericium, but what it produces is architecturally impressive and long-lasting. Outdoor log and stump cultivation is also an option given its natural range in warm climates.
Fruiting Conditions
Temperature: 60–88°F fruiting | 60–82°F colonization
Humidity: 60–90% RH during fruiting
Light: Indirect light: very minimal phototropic response.
Fresh Air Exchange: Don’t Need it: reduce FAE to encourage extended growth. This only wants to Antler.
Substrate: Sterilized supplemented hardwood blocks — dense hardwoods preferred.
Climate Note: Well-suited for warm climate cultivation
